Remington Row

Developed by Seawall Development Co, The Remington Row Complex is comprised of three levels of underground parking, street level retail, 30,000 SF of commercial office space and 108 apartment units.  The development is located in a once-overlooked neighborhood in the heart of Baltimore City, which now has an energy equivalent to the many young residents expected to settle in this district. 

 

 

HDL Construction was selected by Southway Builders, Inc. to self-perform several trades including:  Light Gauge Metal Framing, Rough Carpentry, Drywall & Acoustical Ceilings.   

 

Contract Value:  Approx.  $1 Million        

Featured Projects - Recently Completed

Moravia Park ES Library

The Moravia Park Elementary School is one of three schools selected to be completely redesigned and renovated as a part of the Baltimore Elementary and Middle School Library project. The Weinberg Library Project involves 30 businesses, nonprofits, and government partners, working with Baltimore City Public Schools to design, build, equip and staff new or renovated school libraries where existing public funding can be leveraged.  HDL construction was contracted by Centennial Construction and completed this project ahead of schedule and with-in budget. 

Red Robin Restaurant

HDL sucesssfully completes the Red Robin Restaurant located in the dynamic shopping district of Canton Crossing in Baltimore, Maryland.  

The Townes at Mill Run

The Townes at Mill Run is an exclusive rental townhome community that consists of 9 different buildings totaling 108 apartments in Owings Mills, MD.  HDL Construction was selected to perform this project and completed all 9 buildings ahead of the very aggressive construction schedule.

Shakespeare Theater Renovation

HDL was awared this highly complex renovation project to the historic 1885 Mercantile Trust & Deposit Co. building located at 200 East Redwood on the northeast corner of Calvert and Redwood Streets.  The original night club was tranformed into a new 20,000 square foot Chesapeake Shakespeare Theater with a modern globe and as many as 250 seats on three levels surrounding a thrust stage.  HDL sucessful completed this project on-time and with budget.

Open Works

As an incubator for Baltimore's creative economy, Opens Works will provide affordable working studios and access to state-of-the-art productions facilities for several hundred visual artists, photographers, graphic designers, sculptors, weavers, fiber artists, fashion designers, and fine furniture makers. 

 

The facility also will provide 150 individual micro-studios for designing, assembling, and finishing projects and products created in these facilites.

HDL was has been contracted as a speciality contractor to self-perform the drywall / ceiling package along with an extensive scope of tectum ceiling panels and suspended ceiling features.  

 

Contract Value:  Approx.  $ 700,000
